The program's mission is to provide a network of support, information and referral to families whose

children have disabilities and/or chronic illness. all ages to adult. This program is the contract for new

families locating early intervention services; They distribute a newsletter to parents and professionals,

and schedule recreational and educational opportunities supporting a variety of subjects in the field of

disabilities. The program serves all of Thurston County.

P ublic health nurse may provide nursing assessments, information, coordination of care, and

referrals for famlies with children with special health care needs. Interpreter services are available

Helps fund therapeutic services for children with special needs such as Autism, Brain Injury, CP,

Downs, Fetal Alcohol, etc. Current therapies funded include Speech and Language, Auditory

Processing. Occupational/HippoTherapy, Movement Therapy, Medical Diagnosis not required.
