Parent Line, a program of Lutheran Community Services NW, is located in Port Angeles, Washington and serves families and

individuals of Clallam, Jefferson and Kitsap counties on the Olympic and Kitsap peninsulas. We are a not-for-profit social services agency.

 Free part day Pre-School services. Full Day Programs available. There are centers in most areas of Kitsap County;

please visit the website for a full listing of locations and hours. The EHS program is for pregnant mothers and children through age 3.

HEAD START program provides services for children ages 3-5. Provides preparation for kindergarten, individual learning plans, health

services for the children, nutritious meals and snacks, services for children with special needs, access to community resources and advocacy

for the parents. Also has Home Base option which provides eligible families with home visits and support services from the prenatal months

to the child's third birthday.

Assists in locating and paying for childcare for children birth to age 12 on a short-term basis. Assistance must be for employment

or employment activity, housing search, medical, substance abuse, court or counseling appointments. Applicants must be homeless

and not eligible for any other daycare subsidy programs such as Department of Social and Health Services Working Connection Childcare.

Offers this service to help parents select and monitor childcare facilities. Parents can evaluate whether or not the

childcare facility is right for their child. Parents can also order brochures. 

OLYMPIC COLLEGE AFFILIATED PRESCHOOLS 

How often: I to 4 days per week depending upon age of child

Hours: Usually IV, to 3V, hours in the morning or after

Cost: Varies from $26 to $220 per month depending upon number of days, location, and age of child

Prerequisite: Enroll in parent education class; parent must work in preschool classroom 2 to 4 times per month

WORKING CONNECTIONS CHILDCARE

Provides a childcare subsidy for working parents. The parents pay a portion of their child care costs. Both in-home providers and day care centers are

eligible, however they must agree to take the subsidy and be eligible for the program. Some income guidelines and restrictions apply. There is no

age-limit for the children.
