Community Sexual Assault Program

Sexual Assault Resources,
and Crisis Services

This program serves Native American children and adults who have been sexually abused, as well as adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

Jeannine Chariton, a SPIPA therapist, designed this poster. The original artwork sold at the Endowment Dinner and Auction.

The program provides therapists for clients living within the boundaries of the Chehalis, Nisqually, Shoalwater Bay and Squaxin Island tribes. These therapists also serve non-Native, and extended, family members. Both individual and family therapy sessions are available.

The therapists use several therapy methods. Sessions, about an hour long, can take place in the client's home, at a designated tribal site, a child's school, or at SPIPA.

Referrals to the program can be made through tribal clinics, children and family services, via the 24-hour crisis line, or you may self-refer by calling SPIPA directly.

In addition to therapy, services include:

  • Information and referral
  • Crisis intervention
  • Medical and legal advocacy
  • System coordination
  • Sexual abuse education
  • Consultation
