The
South Puget Intertribal Planning Agency (SPIPA) formed
in
1976 as a 501 (c)(3), tribally chartered, intergovernmental agency.
From
the beginning, SPIPA responded to the needs and
directives of member
tribes.
Today the consortium
includes five Southwestern Washington tribes: the Chehalis, Nisqually,
Shoalwater Bay, Skokomish and Squaxin Island Tribes. The vision reflects
the spirit of our early founders and leaders.
