Resource Development
SPIPA’s financial resources come primarily from Federal and Washington State grants, with a small portion from foundations. These funds are generated through grant proposals that are consistent with SPIPA’s strategic goals, and with direction from tribal consortium members.
SPIPA also generates financial resources through the Annual Native Arts Dinner and Auction. This effort involves many SPIPA staff members and showcases the work of Native artists.
Grant Writing
SPIPA assists consortium tribes in applying for and securing collaborative grants through:
- research, review, and summarization of possible collaborative projects,
- preparing grant applications for new and renewal collaborative grant opportunities,
- providing technical assistance, and assisting with data collection and performance measures..
