Help With
Basic Needs
Clients must also lack enough income and resources to meet essential
needs. The program is designed to meet basic financial needs while a
client is between jobs or when enrolled as a full-time college student.
Check If You Are Eligible
for Benefits
To become, and remain, eligible for the General Assistance benefits,
a client must conduct monthly employment searches. Children and people
with physical or mental disabilities are exempt from this search.
Benefits
are adjusted when, and if, a person becomes employed. General Assistance
services are available at the Nisqually and Chehalis
Tribal Sites. The other consortium tribes currently operate separate
General Assistance programs.
